I posted this yesterday from my phone but then deleted because I thought it was the GP board. Pregnancy brain, I guess! I promise no deleting today!
I had my biweekly US and doctor's appointment yesterday. The good news is that the boys are perfect. In the 40% for weight (the scale is for singletons so they are big twins) coming in at 1lb 12oz and 1lb 13oz. That's the other good news - they have less than 1% discordance! Baby A is still head down and pressed very low right against my cervix on the right side with his legs on top of his brother's head who moved transverse on my left side.
But, the bad news is my cervical length has shortened from 3.1 cm 12 days ago to 2.36. Thank God, I have no funneling. Since the beginning of my pregnancy, all my doctor has told me is that we are good as long as it is over 3. Well, my doctor was not overly concerned, but now I will have close monitoring. I have to go back for another US on Monday to check again. I have no other restrictions. When it hits 2 or under, I will have to go on Progesterone. She said bed rest wouldn't come into play unless I was dilated (which I'm not.)
I just can't help being upset. Why would it shrink so much in such a small amount of time. I guess I've been spoiled with a pretty easy twin pregnancy so far, but I just want them in there until December at least and now that seems so far away and maybe impossible

Plus googling isn't smart but I can't help. There are all these posts of having hospital bed rest at 2.8 cm so I just want to lay in bed and never go to work again to protect these kiddos!
Prayers and good thoughts accepted! Stories - good, bad and indifferent also appreciated!
